Utah Concealed Firearm Permit / Multi-State Carry Course
Expand your concealed carry options beyond Virginia.
The DJr Empowerment Group Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Course provides the required training to apply for a Utah Concealed Firearm Permit and is taught in accordance with the curriculum established by the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI).
This is a classroom-only course. There is no live-fire requirement, and no firearm or ammunition is needed for class.
Why do I need a Utah permit if I already have a Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit?
The primary benefit is expanded reciprocity when you travel.
Your Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit is not recognized everywhere. Adding a Utah Concealed Firearm Permit can expand the number of states where your concealed carry permit is recognized.
Because reciprocity and firearm laws can change, always verify the laws of each state before traveling with a firearm.
What You’ll Learn
Topics include:
- Firearm safety and responsible handling
- Basic handgun familiarity
- Utah concealed firearm laws
- Federal firearm laws and restrictions
- Legal use of force and self-defense
- Restricted and prohibited carry locations
- Responsibilities of carrying a concealed firearm
Fingerprints & Photo Included
We’ll help take some of the guesswork out of the application process.
Your required fingerprints and passport-quality photo will be completed during class, along with guidance for completing your Utah permit application.
Important for Virginia Residents
You do not need to complete the Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit class before taking this course.
However, Virginia residents must possess a valid Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit before submitting their Utah application.
If you do not have your Virginia permit yet, you may still take this course and complete the Utah training.
There is no shooting requirement for this course.
Participants who show any signs of alcohol or prohibited substance use prior to class will be dismissed immediately, with no eligibility for rescheduling or a refund.
Completion of the course satisfies the required firearm familiarity training. Final permit approval is determined by the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification.
Completion of this course will automatically qualify you for DJr Empowerment Academy training programs.
Stay safe. Stay prepared. Stay empowered.
