  • Born in Norfolk, Virginia 1952. Owner of Bob’s Gun Shop, 1989 to present. Began working here during high school, Summer, 1967. Educated at the University of Virginia. Purchased Bob’s from his uncle, Paul Blaustein, at his retirement.

  • Co-founder with Steve Dowdy, The Concealed Carry Institute, LLC, the first of its kind commercial online firearms safety course. April 2, 2008
  • Requested Virginia Senate Bill 1528, codifying acceptance of online training for Concealed Handgun Permit qualification. (A handful of judges just didn’t get online training as being permitted). Passed the Senate, 29-10, passed the House of Delegates 99-0 during regular session. Vetoed by the Governor and subsequently overridden in the Senate, 28-10 and in the House of Delegates, 73-23 on April 8, 2009. Enacted July 1, 2009.
